You know, there is one thing that I can't get over and that is my nieces are growing up! I can't imagine being a parent and seeing your child blossom every day:) I have the honor and joy to have the most wonderful family:) I was able to live in a city that I loved with a passion and have my sister her husband and her children right in the same town. I haven't lived in the same town with a sibling in over 12 years and I'll tell you, there is no greater joy! To see their whole family and to spend that quality time with them, that just does it for me. In February of 2005, my sister and her family moved here And I married the LOVE of my life!!
For three years, the Lord blessed us with being able to spend time together and get to know each other. There is no greater blessing than the love of your family. I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of their lives in those 3 years that I would not have gotten before. What a blessing!!
My oldest niece is turning 13!!! this October. I once thought she was shy and standoffish, but I now know that she is witty and gentle and kind and loves to be in the kitchen, whether it's her famous chocolate chip cookies,,,yum! Or your pound cake that is out of this world, just being with her brightens my day. She loves to read, loves her dog Mocha, playing volleyball, and loves the LORD!! AMEN!!!
Next niece just turned 11??!! Can you believe that? She's a Diva in her own right and loves cheer leading. When I need a helping hand in my Mary Kay office,,she's right there. Of course, getting the lip gloss in the end sweetens the deal:) She's caring and thoughtful and has this bubbly personality that is so addictive. You can't help but be happy around her!!
Hailey,,Happy BIrthday SWeETS!! I'll see you Saturday:) What can I say?? She's a little fire Cracker and I love her to pieces:) She loves Cheer leading, dogs and all things DIVA!! She's wearing the scrunchies that I made for her. These pictures were taken today at their soccer game. She's started kindergarten this year and LOVES school. She is learning to read,,,,in kindergarten. I'm just so stinken proud!
Last but certainly not least is the baby:) She turned 3 last Sunday. She used to be somewhat shy but I think she's coming out of her shell. She's gotta keep up with the older girls, that's for sure! She loves wearing her soccer uniform, purple and yellow:) One day I will have pictures of her with those bows in her hair:) She's loves riding with her daddy on the lawnmower! It's great fun, but their yard is so big, she's asleep half way through. IT's so precious~~~!
So my friends, as you can see, the years that I had in Pensacola with my sisters family was so sweet! I suppose we were taking things for granted because if we knew that we would be here in Asheville this year, who knows what we would have done differently.
Don't take for granted your family. If you are having a difficult time getting along, get over it and spend as much quality time as you can with them. Life is short and you never know when God will think you are too comfortable and move you somewhere else:)
I love you T-family!!!! I will see you next SATURDAY!!!!
